Now Is the Time to Get a Breeze Card – Breeze Is the Only Way to Pay
MARTA’s fares are not changing – the Breeze ticket has a $.50 cent charge (does not include fare) and can be reused and reloaded for up to 90 days from the date printed on the back of the ticket. There is a one-time charge of $5 for the purchase of a new Breeze Card. Although additional fare must also be loaded onto the card, the $5 fee does include two free trips. The card can be used for up to four years. The card can load up to $100 in stored value, multiple trips or monthly, weekly and weekend passes. Customers can also register the card for balance protection so that the value on the card can be recovered if it is ever lost or stolen.
The Breeze Card is the best option for all customers, and MARTA is offering a number of ways to get one. Cards can be obtained at any MARTA RideStore or Breeze Vending Machines in our 38 rail stations.
MARTA will phase out the sale of tokens and TransCards in RideStores over the next few months. Tokens will continue to be accepted at rail station vending machines and bus fare boxes until
further notice. Customers can also exchange tokens at MARTA
RideStores for the equivalent number of trips on a Breeze Card. The
RideStore can only transfer tokens in multiples of 10.
